Day 9 - Sunday May 22, 2005


After loading up the bikes, we got on the road Sunday morning at around 6 AM for our trek across the southernmost interstate in the USA.



This day was still very hot with temperatures lingering around 106 degrees. Despite freezing some Propel fitness waters to keep us hydrated and cool, it was uncomfortable at times. Unfortunately, Jeff wasn't feeling too good that morning. I don't think the heat helped matters.

Here's a random stop somewhere off I-10 in New Mexico:



 We ended up cutting the day short at around 2 PM. Jeff needed to rest and get off the bike. The rest of the day was spent in a dark, air-conditioned hotel room.
